Outlaw blues singer-songwriter Charley Crockett will headline a special evening of music at Ford Wyoming Center on Wednesday, July 8th, 2026. Gates open at 6:30 PM with music to begin at 7:30 PM.
Guitar-slinging singer Charley Crockett is touring in support of his 16th solo album, Age of the Ram, which he released in April. Born in Abilene, Texas, a few miles from where his namesake Davy Crockett was supposedly raised, Crockett draws on his country and blue roots to blend country, blues, soul and a pinch of Southern soul with a side of Tex-Mex. Some of those songs will include "The Man from Waco", "I Ain't From Memphis" and "Cowboy". Joining him on this stop is Wild Horses, a five member band from Temple, Texas, that performs Americana music in a style that is uniquely their own.

With 16 studio albums to his credit, Crockett has established himself as a major force in contemporary country music. In 2015, he was nominated as the Best Blues Act at the Dallas Observer Music Awards and his albums have received substantial airplay on the Americana airplay charts. He is a compelling and dynamic singer-songwriter with a true-to-life style of songwriting that is deeply rooted in his years of traveling and performing the length and breadth of America by hitchhiking and busking. And as a direct descendant of legendary frontiersman Davy Crockett, Matthew Charles Crockett brings a thread of history to his ongoing story of musical entertainment. A country music group from Temple, Texas. The group consists of lead singer Angela Rae and singer-songwriter Michael Blake Mahler (former front man of the band NuWest). Wild Horses combine their Texas country roots with their own personal blend of music for special shows.
